Rooftop Films Presents Dark Toons

Things that are very New York: accepting your bike as a piece of furniture, having an easier time finding a taco at 3am than computer parts during normal business hours, and making up for your lack of yard with an awesome roof top. And it’s late spring, so it’s time

How I feel about The Strand Bookstore

This piece originally appeared the Broke-Ass Stuart’s Guide to Living Cheaply in New York City You know how in commercials the Keebler Elves always seem like they’re having a great time because their job rocks and they’re making people happy by baking delicious cookies? This originally appeared in my book Broke-Ass Stuart’s Guide to Living Cheaply in NYC. While not the absolute cheapest place in the world I was so intrigued by the fact that it’s Glatt Kosher Jewish-Uzbek food, that I couldn’t say no. Only in New York (well maybe Uzbekistan too). I

Take a No Sew Costumes Class

My two favorite ways to explore New York are riding a bike and gallivanting around in an absurd costume. Luckily, there are holidays like Santacon and Zombie Con through out the year, so I don’t have to wear my dinosaur costume to the grocery to get my silly clothes fix.
