Alamo Drafthouse in the Mission will play all nine movies in The Skywalker Saga in one epic marathon at its San Francisco New Mission theater in honor of the 25th anniversary of THE PHANTOM MENACE.

Personally, I think it should be made a permanent installation in Union Square so millions of people will see and visit it, as it is a priceless piece of San Francisco history.

After 36 years of slicing, dicing, and serving the Mission District of San Francisco, the original We Be Sushi at 1071 Valencia St at 22nd has closed.    Chef Andy Tonozuka told Mission Local the reasons are “mainly the slow business, and another one is I’m 74 now, and I got sciatic nerve pain”.

San Francisco Opera and San Francisco Public Library celebrate the art of storytelling with The Opera in You, a free writing and storytelling workshop series inviting the public to discover their own operatic tales. The workshops will be held at public library branches throughout San Francisco from March through May 2024. Free, live online workshops are also offered. The workshops will culminate in a free public storytelling event on June 15 at San Francisco Public Library’s Main Library Koret Auditoriu

It’s always nice to hear that a community-run arts non-profit has come alive in our city.  And for you artsy creative types who don’t have room for a big workbench or the coin to buy nice art-making machinery, this is a great development. 

It begs the question, “where are all our finance bros going to get their vests now?”  Oh wait, the finance bros have all gone online as well.
