Willie Brown & John’s Grill Resume FREE Election Day Luncheon
Lee Houskeeper & Alex Clemens would like to invite you to The Election Day Luncheon at the historic John’s Grill in San Francisco. The Election Day FREE luncheon will be hosted by former Mayor Willie Brown along and the Grill’s owners John Konstin and John Konstin Jr.
They typically block off Ellis Street from noon to 2 p.m. and have a free buffet with wine in John’s Grill. There’s also traditionally “no speeches, no campaigning, and no fights,” among the attending movers and shakers in the SF political, tech, tourism, hotel, and construction development scenes.
So go have a bite AFTER YOU VOTE! If you want a voting guide here is one. Make sure you fucking vote, do your civic duty before you go get free wine!
In years past, people came down in their thousands to get a free lunch and rub elbows with politicians, commissioners, and their donors. John’s is an old-school, wood-paneled, chop serving, San Francisco classic that is over 100 years old and has lot’s of fun photographs of celebrity visitors on the wall. It’s a joint you can easily picture cigar smoke in, and ‘back room deals’ being made…because well, they were.

The dishonorable, Slick Willie Brown and the ethically challenged John Konstin:the $500 per person contribution limit for city candidates.
“By soliciting and accepting excess contributions, and by failing to disclose the contributions received on her committee’s campaign disclosure statements, Breed violated candidate contribution limit and campaign disclosure requirements of city law,” the agreement said.
The mayor will be fined $7,500 for failing to disclose the contributions and $4,500 for accepting contributions over the legal limit.
It’s not nice being a suck up.
