Brooke Jenkins Drops Charges Against Killer Cop

Martin Luther King famously said “I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.” I think anyone with common sense can recognize the validity of that aspiration, but common sense seems to be anything but common at City Hall.

Brooke Jenkins, a former hate crimes prosecutor, is now the District Attorney for the City. She used to work under, and ultimately helped oust the former DA, Chesa Boudin. Since taking office, she has worked tirelessly to reverse every meaningful decision and policy change implemented during Boudin’s tenure. The most egregious of these reversals is unquestionably her decision to drop the charges against SFPD rookie, Christopher Samayoa.

Jenkins stated that she dropped the charges because they were filed for “political reasons.”

Christopher Samayoa is the first police officer to be charged for an on duty homicide in the history of San Francisco. Jenkins stated that she dropped the charges because they were filed for “political reasons,” but upon review of the officer’s body cam footage, it becomes abundantly clear that Brooke Jenkins is utterly full of shit.

The video is reminiscent of the Sean Monterrosa shooting, in that the victim is murdered immediately upon arrival of the police from the passenger seat of a car.

You can see for yourself here (trigger warning: murder):

If you’re not in the mood to watch a murder, I can describe it for you…

The video shows blue skies and the tops of homes as the car races toward the now remodeled Alice Griffith Apartments, more commonly known as the Double Rock Projects in Bayview/Hunter’s Point, a neighborhood that sits on the neglected southeastern edge of San Francisco.

As the projects come into partial view, a pistol appears on screen, and before the car has even come to a complete stop, Keita O’Neil, who was unarmed, was executed.

I’m not a lawyer, but I can recognize a murder when I see one. And Keita O’Neil was murdered. To say that Chesa Boudin’s decision to prosecute the officer involved was politically motivated is fucking stupid and blatantly corrupt. The only disagreement any reasonable person can have, is that manslaughter, which is what Boudin’s office charged him with, was too light of a charge. This should’ve been prosecuted as a murder. Because that’s what it is. It’s a fucking murder. Brooke Jenkins and her office are working to protect a murderer.

The fact that Brooke Jenkins is a black woman, doing everything she can to shield a police officer who murdered an unarmed black man, from prosecution by a white DA, is why I chose to quote Martin Luther King at the beginning of this article.

Both ends of the political spectrum need to understand that just because someone looks like you, doesn’t mean they’re for you or anyone similar to you. If someone is trying to pander to you, they rarely have anything of substance to offer.

You can’t assume someone’s intent by their race, gender, nationality or sexuality. You have to look at the person. You have to examine their conduct, and their history. Identity politics is a poor substitute for nuance. That’s why corporate Democrats embrace identity politics. They’ve learned that it’s not what you do, it’s what you say, and how you look while you say it that matters.

San Francisco says all kinds of things, but look at what it does.

When you look at Brooke Jenkins, don’t look at the color of her skin. Look at the content of her character and realize she has none…

If she did, she wouldn’t have dropped the charges.

What’s more corrupt than London Greed’s libertarian, poor-hating, COVID-exacerbating administration? That same administration with the cop-coddling support of Crooke Jenkins.
    All. Cops. Are. Bastards.

Weird how this article doesn’t mention O’Neil had just violently car jacked a state official and injured her before fleeing the scene and leading officers on a dangerous high speed pursuit. No. Cops aren’t supposed to execute unarmed people as they flee but why not tell the WHOLE story in a fair and balanced manner? O’Neil was a convicted violent criminal who committed a brash and violent crime that directly led him to the path of his ultimate ending. Trigger happy rookie cops are mostly only a threat to criminals and the least of our priorities at this point.

Powerful words, Memelord. Powerful. And I agree with them (though, as an aside, you never followed up on your claim that I was just using the same a few weeks ago . . . but you do you).

And I see that C3PO is still slinging his stuff, whiffing at this and that, and basically engaging in hasty generalizations because a sound argument isn’t his forte. Do you have friends? Do they actually applaud your posts? I applaud your posts. But not, perhaps, for the reasons that you post them.

So, let me ask you this: how do you square these words with what other posters have said in response? Surely, you can. And you will?
