FREE Yoga All Over the East Bay

GET BENDY WITH FREE YOGA
It is almost December and soon enough some of your outdoor exercise and fitness regimes will be compromised by rain and cold. Yoga can be a calming indoor alternative (even though the sun salutations will make a mockery of the dreary weather that forced you inside). But yoga also tends to be expensive as hell. Fortunately for us broke-ass yogis, many yoga studios now offer FREE, donation-based, or sliding scale community classes. Below you can find information about all the studios offering affordable yoga classes for the masses.

peace,

This is great! All the locations work magnificently for me!
I recently received a very misleading certificate for “one moth unlimited” yoga from Funky Door on Shattuck, but the certificate only makes it cheaper for new students, and I don’t have $29 today. I am very disappointed and sore.
Would be great if you could update this list to 2012. Any new free yoga groups at Lake Temescal Park or Willard Park? Jack London Square lawn?
Thank you!
Hi! Yoga Mandala is closed now, but the students there opened a non-profit yoga community center not too far away, at 6107 Shattuck (61st and Shattuck). It’s a smaller place, but ALL THE CLASSES ARE FREE! Let me say that again – FREE YOGA at 6107 Shattuck! Check online for the latest class schedule http://www.dharmainc-oakland.org. Stuart and Chloe are awesome! Thank you for this blogsite!
Hey Stuart, you just saved me from the very un-Buddhist-like hissy fit I was having after realizing that I missed the free yoga class I had been looking forward to all day. Now I found another cheap/free yoga place that I will not miss, later on this evening. Now I can return to trying to be a better, brokeass, Buddhist. Cheers!
